Dark already...

I found a sad little lullaby that I'd half written in an old notebook. And then I sang it...

Lay Me Down.mp3

Sorry that I have to compress music so much to put it here. It gives it a certain something, but still. Anybody know of a flickr equivalent for music files? My webhost won't let me go over 1mb per file.

this song reminds me of something lovely, but I can't quite remember what it is... especially the little fiddle part.

Re the webhost thing: if you're ever thinking of switching then the people I defected to a month or two back - gimur.net - specialise in sites for illustrators, are very cheap and offer unlimited space and bandwidth. Which is handy. Friendly personal communication when you deal with them too.

Thanks Crista, it's those three old country chords... not necessarily in any proper order. I think I accent notes on the fiddle in an annoying way, even when I'm playing deliberately badly like here. It's something I don't notice until it is recorded, so I think that's good for learning. I'd forgotten what a lovely tin-toy terror my fretless banjo is though.

And I'll look into that host maybe, thanks Dave. The thing about my current one is cheapness, and the fact that they're fairly reliable, but I might want to change after all.
