hmmmm, i don't think i like it either. i mean, some books already have an age range on the back and it's helped me out of a few scrapes with very stubborn people before ("yes, yes, yes, i know you like this book, but i stubbornly will insist it won't work for my child at all-- oh! good for 7+! perfect."), but i also think there are lots of 6 year olds reading at 9 year old levels and vice versa. meh.
